Centre Manager

Kia Ora My name is Mayada,

I am originally hail from Syria but spent my formative years in Baghdad, Iraq. Growing up, I was fortunate to be part of a household where love flowed generously, and deep connections were forged – values that continue to shape my life today as a parent to two beautiful daughters and as a dedicated teacher to many wonderful children, both back in my home country and here in New Zealand.

In 2003, I relocated to New Zealand, taking on the role of a teacher assistant in primary and intermediate schools to familiarize myself with the New Zealand education curriculum and to gain insight into my daughters' school experiences. While I valued this experience, my heart was always in Early Childhood Education (ECE). As soon as my girls were settled, I pursued my passion, earning a Graduate Diploma in ECE.

I began my journey as an infants and toddlers teacher, gradually progressing into leadership positions.

The opportunity to nurture and educate young minds has been incredibly rewarding.

Now, I'm excited to embark on a new chapter as I join the Tiny Voices family. I am looking forward to welcome families into our gorgeous and cozy space in Herne Bay. Together, we can build a strong and supportive community. I look forward to getting to know all of you and creating a nurturing environment for our little ones.

He aha te mea nui o tea o? He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!
What is the most important thing in the world? It is people! It is people! It is people!

Nga Mihi,
Mayada.
