Kia ora / Annyeonghaseyo!

My name is Saelom, and I am the Centre Manager at Tiny Voices. I feel incredibly honoured to step into this role and to lead our wonderful centre here at Hobsonville.

I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and am a fully registered teacher, with over 10 years of experience in the ECE sector. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of working alongside many amazing tamariki, whānau, and teaching teams. Each experience has strengthened my passion for providing high-quality early learning and fostering environments where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore.

I am originally from South Korea and was raised here in Aotearoa New Zealand. I deeply uphold and celebrate both cultures, and they are an important part of who I am as a leader and educator. Embracing my Korean heritage alongside my upbringing in Aotearoa has shaped my strong values around respect, whanaungatanga, family, and community. I am passionate about creating a culturally responsive environment where diversity is celebrated and every child and whānau feels seen, heard, and valued.

As Centre Manager, my vision is to nurture a centre-wide culture of belonging, respect, and collaboration. I am committed to supporting our kaiako across all rooms to deliver meaningful, play-based learning experiences that empower each child’s unique voice. Building strong, trusting relationships with our families is at the heart of what I do, and I believe that partnership is key to every child’s success.

I am also a proud mum to my wonderfully crazy children. They are the heart of my world and continue to inspire my philosophy each day. Their curiosity and joy remind me why early childhood education matters so deeply and fuel my dedication to this mahi.

I look forward to working alongside you and your whānau, supporting your child’s journey throughout their time at Tiny Voices, and ensuring their experience is filled with growth, confidence, connection, and joyful learning.
