Kia ora,
I’m Jess and I am the manager of Tiny Voices Napier.
My journey into early childhood education began in 2010, right after I finished high school. Having a career where I could foster the curiosity of children was something I had always wanted to do. After graduating, I became a head teacher and really thrived being a part of supporting teachers to grow too. For most of my career I have stayed in a leadership role, and in 2020 I joined Tiny Voices Napier as head teacher of the Tiny Kiwis. Over the years I have developed a strong philosophy where I advocate for genuine connection, and relationships that are built on trust. I believe that children deserve to be seen as incredible individuals, and all that they are should be fostered, and celebrated.
On the weekends you will find me out with my husband on the mountain bike trails, camping, and maybe even up a mountain snowboarding. I also love a good book, music and a stroll along the river.
I know just how important the early years are for children, and how these years will shape the person they will become. I am passionate about fostering magic into each day for our tamariki, and creating an environment that truly feels like a home away from home. I would love to meet you, and welcome you into our centre!
