Our role as kaiako is to recognise these moments and create environments where children's ideas can grow.

Sometimes that means following a carefully planned activity. Other times, the best learning starts with a puddle, a cardboard box or a very interesting bug discovered outside.
Early learning is about more than preparing children for school.
It's about developing confidence, friendships, independence and a sense of belonging.
Through shared experiences, children learn how to express their ideas, listen to others, solve problems together and understand the people and world around them.
